System Setup
System Setup Feature Highlights:
All system setup functions are performed using RPA graphical user interface
tasks.
The RPA Work Types are user-defined using a simple set of tools.
Key work type parameters are defined in processing templates to allow
restriction of work type based on the processing requirements of the
operation.
Define the rules used to perform Fraud Detection. Different rules can be
used by work type.
Define the rules used for Item Review. Different rules can be used by work
type.
Define the "Hot Keys" that are used by Key Entry operators
(Corrections and Item Review) to input common field values.
Control the use of the "Force Reject" Key Entry option.
Describe the CPCS record format for each environment. RPA allows concurrent
connections to many CPCS systems, each of which can have different record
sizes and formats.
Define the sort types that sorter operators may use. Specify the
endorsement data and positions by work type and pass.
Define special sort "key" pockets used to outsort items such as
cash tickets to be repaired (keyed) but requiring no further physical
handling.
Limit only certain sort types to a given defined RPA user workflow.
Environment Parameters
RPA allows users to set up many different environments under four main
categories: Production, Quality Assurance, Test and Development.
Environment Parameters Sample
Graphical interfaces are used to supply all environmental variables. In the
sample above, a production environment is being setup.
Work Flow Setup
The operations and CPCS support groups have complete control over the way
items and images are processed in RPA. Below is a sample showing the setup of a
high speed reject re-entry type of run.
Work Type Setup Sample
The Work Type setup task is the way work flows are defined to RPA. Any and
all of the options on this screen can be restricted from change if desired.
Typically, things like the Extract string types, image and microfilm options and
special pockets are not made accessible on this panel. The control for what can
be changed on this panel is applied through a "template" definition
function.
